Qualifications and Experience
I trained with CPCAB
Counselling and Psychotherapy
Central Awarding Body.

I trained as a therapeutic counsellor
and my qualification is a diploma in
integrative, person centred
and solution focussed counselling.

Before completing my diploma, I also completed several certificates in
counselling theory, studies and skills.

To gain my counselling qualification,
I trained with CPCAB for over 4 and a half years.

Once qualified, I became a member of the BACP
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
This is the professional body for counsellors in the UK.

Since qualifying, I have gone on to successfully complete a
Certificate of Proficiency Assessment
which was completed through my professional body.

This Certificate of Proficiency is a
standardised assessment
of the skills, knowledge and abilities required
to be a professional counsellor and psychotherapist.

This assessment ensures that all members are
demonstrating a certain level of competence,
ability and professionalism.

I have also completed further training and development
in mental health, mediation and
health and wellbeing.

And I continue to develop myself both personally and professionally.

I work with clients who are experiencing many different issues, some of which include:

Low mood, anxiety, depression
lack of confidence, low self-esteem
relational issues, bereavement
stress, self-harm, intrusive thoughts
self-criticism and identity issues

I understand that we all have very different beliefs, backgrounds, personalities and lives.
And I am experienced in working with my clients
to establish which
tools, techniques and practices
work best for them.

I am also employed as a Counsellor and Mental Health Worker,
within the NHS.
I have monthly Clinical Supervision.
I am a Registered member of the BACP
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have an enhanced DBS check.
